“I was encouraged to submit an application, and I’m so glad I did. I love what I get to do for work, but as I grow in my career it’s easy to think about work, personal life and thats it. This project was awesome because it got me out of my comfort zone, I was able to collaborate with my mentee and we got to create a really valuable project. My advice to anyone thinking about applying is: JUST DO IT! RaiseHer and Champions of Change made it so inviting, inclusive and the whole process was so planned out. I did not feel like I was wasting my time in the slightest, and I love the project so much my partner and I are going to continue this long term. I am so grateful for the opportunity to learn new mentor qualities about myself, gaining confidence on non-profit work and finding new passions that lead to change.”

“I love this mentorship program. It allowed me to give back to an emerging leader in a way that others invested in me early in my career but I also took so much away. I learned so much from Sarah and just really enjoyed spending time with her and hearing her perspectives. And getting to work on a real life challenge was energizing and empowering. I feel like I made a life-long connection/friend AND I get to put what we learned together in our project into practice in my workplace. I’m grateful this program exists and know I’ll be back to volunteer soon!“

“The mentorship program is a great opportunity to connect professionals with students to collaborate on a shared project. I learned a lot from my match. Her open and honest communication and willingness to share her experience was very refreshing. It gave me a new understanding of the issues and perspectives of our future leaders.”

Participating in the mentorship program with RaiseHerCo created opportunities for me to network professionally with other leaders that are passionate about equity. It also created space for me to listen to young women, follow their direction and help work towards tangible action on equity. I was very happy I participated!
