I was encouraged to submit an application, and I’m so glad I did. I love what I get to do for work, but as I grow in my career it’s easy to think about work, personal life and thats it. This project was awesome because it got me out of my comfort zone, I was able to collaborate with my mentee and we got to create a really valuable project. My advice to anyone thinking about applying is: JUST DO IT! RaiseHer and Champions of Change made it so inviting, inclusive and the whole process was so planned out. I did not feel like I was wasting my time in the slightest, and I love the project so much my partner and I are going to continue this long term. I am so grateful for the opportunity to learn new mentor qualities about myself, gaining confidence on non-profit work and finding new passions that lead to change.
